There are two more chances to see this year’s spring musical with the Greene County High School.
“The Little Mermaid” takes place tonight at 7pm and tomorrow at 2pm at the high school auditorium. With an over 30 member cast that is on stage, one senior – Randa Linberg – is performing in her first show in high school. She tells Raccoon Valley Radio why she wanted to be in the musical as she plays the oldest mersister, Aquata.
“It definitely is my first acting experience, really. It’s really exciting but I wasn’t really as nervous to try out because I just wanted to do something fun because I’ve never done it before. So I was like, ‘Might as well do it my senior year.’ And then when I actually got a role, I was like, ‘Oh shoot! I actually have to figure things out and put it all together, and I’m so excited for it.”
Freshman Grey O’Connor plays one of the eels Jetsom, and she tells everyone why they should come see the show, regardless if they have seen it already or not.
“I think you should come and see it because all the kids that are in it, we’ve all worked really hard, and altogether it just is really good why wouldn’t you want to come and see it. You can still support the school and come see some really good actors, and really good sets and costumes. So I think everybody should come and see it.”
Tickets are $15 per person and can be purchased online by clicking here.
