Greene County hosted a seven team boys’ golf tournament on Saturday at both The Hill west of Grand Junction, and the Jefferson Community Golf Course. Golfers played nine holes at each location and Roland-Story (Story City) won the 18 hole event with 337 strokes. Coon Rapids-Bayard had 346, followed by South Central Calhoun (Lake City) with 347, and 349 for the Rams. Southeast Valley (Gowrie) shot 354 with 363 for Ogden, and 368 by Grandview Christian (Des Moines).

Ram coach Kyle Kinne reports freshman Keaton Hinote and junior Carter Hinote each shot 86. The other two scores counting in the team total were 87 from junior Nathan Towers and 90 by freshman Louis Schneider.

Sunny and windy conditions prevailed on Saturday with high temperatures in the upper 60’s.
