An Adel man was recently sentenced to federal prison after allegedly trying to distribute drugs.

According to the Southern District Court Attorney’s Office, 41-year-old Charles Adam Bradshaw drove from Adel to Omaha, Nebraska to allegedly pick up methamphetamine from a Mexican-based supplier that facilitated transactions through local couriers. The US District Attorney’s Office states that during the time of the offense, Bradshaw was on parole for 2021 convictions for eluding and possession of methamphetamine in Dallas County District Court. He was officially sentenced to 18 years in federal prison for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine on March 6th. 

The press release goes on to say that after completing his term of imprisonment, Bradshaw will be required to serve a five-year probation of supervised release. The case was investigated by the Mid-Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force, Southwest Iowa Narcotics Enforcement Task Force, and the Drug Enforcement Administration.
