The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Boys Golf Team is taking on a Raccoon River Conference opponent today.

After being postponed from this past Friday, ADM will tee off against Ballard on the road, looking for their 28th victory of the season. Bombers senior Brenden Wright and Tiger sophomore Shadd Livingston have a nine hole low score of 35 strokes. Head Coach Nolan Gitch tries to prepare the players to stay in the moment when they’re golfing.

“Keeping it at one shot at a time, and trying to stay present where their feet are, and that’s all you can really control is what’s going on right in front of you in that moment, so nothing holds true more in the game of golf because you can’t look too far ahead, you can’t go chasing birdies out in front of you because if you duck hook or shank the next shot, nobody cares about the next hole, so stay present.”

ADM leads the historical series over Ballard 3-0, including a 163-170 road win last year. The meet today begins at 4pm at the Ballard Golf and Country Club.
