With summer not too far away, the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Softball Team is underway with practice prior to the first game in a few weeks.

ADM began the first day of practice this past Monday, as they will try to make another deep run in the postseason this year. During the 2024 season, the Tigers finished with an overall record of 31-10 and were second in the Raccoon River Conference at 13-3 right behind North Polk, who finished 16-0.

However, in the postseason, ADM beat Indianola and Winterset to be crowned the region four champions, then went on to defeat Fort Dodge in the state quarterfinals followed by North Polk in the semifinals, before ultimately coming up short with a 7-6 loss in the championship game versus Carlisle.

Key returning players on this year’s team include junior Lauren Hagedorn, senior Kennedy Stanford, senior Madi James, junior Macy Person, junior Ellis Smith, and senior Aniston Tollari. The first game for the Tigers will be in Adel against Ankeny High School on May 27th.
