The Friends of the Perry Public Library kick off their annual membership drive next week.

As part of National Library Card Sign-Up Month, the library and the Friends are looking to get more people involved with and supporting the library.

Director Mary Murphy says becoming a Friend of the library means you’re part of a group that understands the importance of helping to promote literacy throughout Perry.  All proceeds from the memberships then go to support programming.

Annual membership is $10 for senior citizens, $14 for adults, $25 for a book lover and $100 for a lifetime membership.

Memberships can be purchased at the library during regular business hours.
