As the Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Girls Golf Season is now over, Head Coach Dana Brown reminisces on her fantastic senior class.
ADM recently graduated seniors Hattie Lande, Annelise Kreifels, Mackenzee Lathrop, Kelli Storck, and Sara Carolan. Brown tells Raccoon Valley Radio that in her seven years as the head coach, this is the first time that she’ll need to replace five girls who were apart of the varsity lineup.
Brown highlights that Storck is mentally tough and is up for any challenge presented to her. Brown notes that Kreifels earned all conference honors at the Raccoon River Conference Meet and was amongst the leaders for the Tigers this year. For Lande, Brown calls her a true team builder and will remember the joy she brought to the squad.
Brown continues that Lathrop is a responsible and trustworthy individual that strives to do her best, and comments that Carolan is loved by her teammates, has a great vibe, and is by far Brown’s most improved player from freshman year. All in all, Brown is touched to have had these girls in her corner.
“Every year I feel like we have such a loss in our senior group, but it’s every year. So, we’re so lucky to get great girls, great people, great athletes out in our program and they’ll be missed and we’ll see what next year looks like when we get there.”
ADM completed the 2025 season with a 32-20 overall record (6-1; 2nd inside the Raccoon River Conference) and placed fifth at the Regional Meet in Carroll on May 21st.
