The Jefferson City Council met Tuesday in regular session.

During open forum, Cindy Wise spoke about Congregate Meals and possible changes to the location that is used at the Greenewood Community Center. She conveyed to the Council her concerns about moving the site for the proposed re-development for the clubhouse for the golf course. Mayor Craig Berry said the Congregate Meals is a benefit to the community and that nothing was going to be done with the service, and he mentioned about the feasibility study will not be completed until August. City Administrator Scott Peterson said that if a project moves forward and the city were to acquire that property, the city is required to provide a space for Congregate Meals.

Gary Goodwin also spoke in open forum. He reminded the Council that people are watching and listening to them and how they make decisions.

Then, a public hearing was held on the 2025 fiscal year budget amendment. It was mentioned that the adjusted revenues had a total increase of $4,379,456 and there was an increase in expenses for a total of $6,917,518. The Council then approved the amendment following the hearing where there was no public comment.
