A Grand Junction man was recently sentenced to prison following multiple cases in two counties.

According to court documents, 28-year-old Joshua Blumberg pled guilty to an aggravated misdemeanor for assault with a dangerous weapon. He was sentenced to two years in prison, which was to be served concurrently with two other, non-related cases. Court documents show that Blumberg was sentenced to a total of 15 years in prison, after a jury found him guilty of a Class D Felony for his third or subsequent possession of a controlled substance violation and an aggravated misdemeanor for his second OWI for an incident that happened in Boone County. He was additionally sentenced to prison after pleading guilty to a Class D Felony for child endangerment with injury that happened in Greene County.

The aggravated misdemeanor conviction stemmed from an incident in September of 2024. According to the affidavit, an argument began with another individual and Blumberg, and then Blumberg got into a vehicle and drove it at the victim. Court documents show that as per the plea agreement, Blumberg has a serious misdemeanor for driving while license is revoked was dismissed.
