An annual event is happening today in Adel with the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office.
According to Sergeant Ray Dirksen, the 16th All-Wheel Show will be held from 10am-2:30pm along Main Street. He shares the event benefits Special Olympics Iowa in an effort to help athletes participate in upcoming competitions in addition to educating them about the importance of seeking medical treatment. Dirksen says one of his highlights is seeing the wide variety of vehicles that come through.
“I love watching these vehicles come in. I would put these vehicles that we have in our car show against any other car show out there. The cars that we have are just absolutely gorgeous. Even if you don’t have a car, come down, look at the cars, that’s why they bring them out.”
Dirksen details that several awards will be given out by judges at 2:30pm, featuring the Special Olympics Choice, the Most Likely to Be Stopped By A Cop, Best Off-Road Vehicle, and more. Raccoon Valley Radio will be in attendance from 9-11am doing live broadcasts on K107.9 KKRF.
