Perry softball was set to host the Paul and Mary Ann Graves Classic on Saturday.  Before the first game even started, all the afternoon games were canceled.  Perry and Woodward-Granger still tried to get through the opening game, but the rain arrived in the sixth.  The rest of the game was called off and ended with a tie of no score.

Kate Schuttler had the lone Perry hit.  Tina Kanealy pitched five innings, surrendered seven hits and walked one.

The Hawks and Jayettes both receive a tie and stats from the first five innings will count.

Perry moves to 3-2-1.  W-G sits at 5-4-1.  Webster City and Van Meter had their game canceled.

The Jayettes will now host Grand View Christian today.  The Thunder enter 4-1 in the Heart of Iowa Conference and this will be the first meeting with Perry as conference foes.  First pitch is scheduled for 7P.
