The Jefferson Parks and Recreation Department has several opportunities for the public to get in touch with their artistic side.

JPRD Assistant Director Henry Pohlmeyer says local artist Jolene Peters is leading a two-dimensional, two-day art class happening today and tomorrow, but there will be a three-dimensional, two-day art class scheduled for next Thursday and Friday for anyone six and older from 1-2:30pm at the Greene County Community Center. He points out that Peters will encourage participants to explore shapes, forms and space with various materials and techniques to create 3D art.

The registration fee is $40 for community center members and $50 for non-members. Contact the community center at 515-386-3412 for click here to sign up.
