Cate Erickson reached base off three hits at the Jayettes beat Saydel in Des Moines Friday night 8-4.

Perry beat Saydel for a second time in 2025 in Heart of Iowa action. The Jayettes got the the board with two in the first after two Eagle errors. Saydel took the lead with a four run fourth, but Perry answered with a five run seventh.

Cate Erickson led the attack with three hits including a double. Karagyn Whelchel finished with two hits and two runs.

Tina Kanealy earned the win pitching seven innings. The senior had a season high 5 K’s with eight hits and four runs.

The Jayettes are now 4-7-1 (4-6).

They will host Carroll on Tuesday.
