The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Softball Team will have a busy Monday, with three games to play in Adel, as Carlisle will be up first for a midday matchup, followed by a double header against Gilbert later on in the evening.
All the rain in the state of Iowa has shifted the schedules around for high school softball, and ADM is on a roll being winners of their past 13 games. Raccoon Valley Radio will carry the broadcast of the first game, scheduled for noon, as the 5th seeded Wildcats in Class 4A look for the season sweep over the 4th ranked Tigers. Carlisle won the first game back on June 4th 8-6 and is sitting at 19-6 overall (4-2 inside the Raccoon River Conference), while ADM is at 19-5 (8-3 RRC). The Wildcats just competed in the CCA-Solon Classic on Friday and Saturday, and the Tigers last played on Thursday, securing a 4-1 victory over Winterset. The broadcast will be on K107.9 KKRF, starting around 11:45am tomorrow.
Following that, Gilbert will come into Adel to face off versus ADM in a double header, with the first game beginning at 5:30pm and the second is scheduled for 7pm. At the conclusion of tomorrow’s action, the Tigers have six more games on the schedule before beginning region play on July 12th.
