
On Thursday, the West Central Valley softball team would play host to the ACGC Chargers and would pick up a 8-0 shut out victory over the Chargers. The Wildcats would score eight runs of nine hits, seven RBIs, and three walks while not having a single strike out against WCV.
Grace Bleckwehl would pitch the entire game for WCV pitching for five innings, allowing three hits, no runs, one walk and punching out two Chargers. Catcher Paige Bleckwehl would lead the team in RBIs with three followed center fielder Maleah Speichiner with two. Lili Gilber and Mila Orr would lead WCV in hits with two a piece in the 8-0 shut out victory over ACGC.
This was the final game of the regular season for the WCV softball team ending their regular season with a 14-12 record. Wildcat softball returns to action on Wednesday for the first round of Class 2A region 1 play off action. WCV travels to Truro to I-35 High School to face off against the Roadrunners. First pitch is scheduled for 7pm.
