The 2025 Greene County Fair officially begins tomorrow in Jefferson.

Greene County ISU Extension 4-H and Youth Coordinator Samantha Hardaway says tomorrow is mostly about getting a lot of livestock checked in and it is also static exhibit judging day, where roughly 400 total exhibits will be on display from 4-H’ers. She points out that one public show that happens tomorrow is the Dog Agility and Clover Kid Puppy Pack Show at the gazebo at 6pm. Hardaway illustrates how the Dog Agility Show has really grown over the past years.

“I remember starting the Dog Agility program when I was a 4-H’er selling chocolate bars to get agility equipment. So it definitely has grown a ton. We’ve had some really great donations. Our dog program’s really growing, we have 25 dogs exhibiting now.

Additionally, Raccoon Valley Radio will also be there broadcasting live with KGRA 98.9FM from the Greene County Fairgrounds from Wednesday through Saturday from 10am-6pm and Sunday from 10am-1pm.

Hardaway adds the other livestock-related information for tomorrow includes the swine weigh-ins from 5-7pm, beef pen-of-three and herdbuilder check-ins, along with rabbit and poultry check-ins are all from 5-7pm. Click the link below to see the entire Greene County Fair schedule.
