The Greene County Fair rolls on with even more happening tomorrow.

Greene County ISU Extension 4-H and Youth Coordinator Samantha Hardaway says tomorrow morning at 8am is the 4-H/FFA Swine Show in the show ring, followed by the Bucket Calf Interviews taking place at 10am at the Fair Board Office. Then at 11am, Hardaway says the 4-H/FFA Horse and Pony Show is at the horse arena, along with Barnyard Games at 2pm that is north of Clover Hall, and finally the 4-H/FFA and Clover Kids Rabbit Show is at 5:30pm.

Hardaway reminds everyone to stop out to Clover Cafe, which is open everyday of the fair from 7:30am-9pm, with the proceeds going back to the Greene County 4-H Foundation.

“What our Foundation does is they provide scholarships to youth, they support all of the 4-H programming that we do here at the Extension Office, they support our fair efforts, they support the Clover Kids program, (and) they just support everything. We could not do what we do at the Extension Office without the 4-H Foundation and the Clover Cafe is their sole fundraiser for all of these projects that they are doing.”

Hardaway adds that there will be a new tv screen near the windows of the Clover Cafe to showcase the different things that the 4-H Foundation has done in the past.

As for the Greene County Fair Board activities, Vice President Katlynn Mechaelsen says there is ice cream making with the Greene County Farm Bureau at 1pm tomorrow, followed by an archery shooting range that is located in North Hall and a cornhole tournament, both taking place at 5pm. To wrap up the evening, Mechaelsen points out the musical entertainment is going to be Jared Benson at 6pm by the barns. She talks about this year’s performer.

“I just thought it was time for a change (and) something different. He’s very similar to the guys that we’ve had in the past, but he will bring a guitarist. He had a lot more original music, he’s a really good guy and he’s really fun to listen to, very interactive, kind of reads the crowd, just like before. So we’re really excited to have him.”

Additionally, Raccoon Valley Radio will also be there broadcasting live from the Greene County Fairgrounds through Saturday from 10am-6pm and Sunday from 10am-1pm. Click the link below to see the entire Greene County Fair schedule.
