The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday.
The Board approved a payroll change notice in the Health Services Department for Sara Van Effen to a full-time Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP), then they approved having EcoSource drill a monitoring well at the transfer station after hearing updates from Guthrie County Treasurer Brenda Campbell and Health Services Director Jotham Arber.
Campbell shared that the department has been doing several regular trainings, like issuing handicap stickers, identifying stolen vehicles through suspicious paperwork and processing driver’s licenses. She also mentioned that they had issued 3,917 driver’s licenses in the previous fiscal year, with 900 being from out of county, and that 1,246 were duplicate licenses due to things like a name change or change of address.
Arber discussed working with EcoSource to install a monitoring well that the Iowa Department of Natural Resources requested for the transfer station, sharing that he had reached out to several different well drilling companies, but only EcoSource had replied with a quote. Finally, the Board approved a new employee performance evaluation form that Supervisor Steve Smith drafted for them to use when doing reviews of county employees.
