Perry baseball just finished a three win campaign.  Geren Kenney was a star in his senior season.

The centerfielder hit a blistering .443 to lead the club.  That was the highest average for a Bluejay since Janier Puente hit .461 in 2016.  His average also ranked high in the Heart of Iowa as the senior had the third highest average in the conference.  One of his best performances on the season was at Allensworth Field in Jefferson.  The leadoff hitter went four for four with three runs batted in.

Kenney scored nearly 25% of the Perry runs in 2025 after touching home plate 24 times.

He took the mound 11 times and recorded the lone save on the season.  The righthander also picked up one of the three wins.  Defensively, he showed off a cannon with six outfield assists.

Kenney leaves big shoes that will need to be replaced in all Perry sports with his graduation.  He won the first ever PESPY for Male Athlete of the Year held in May.
