A business in Stuart that’s part of a larger chain made some charitable donations within the last few weeks.
Rose Acre Farms Stuart Site Manager Andy Kaldenberg says that the first of the two recent donations was presented by all three Iowa locations, which are in Guthrie Center, Stuart and Winterset, to the Greater Greenfield Community Foundation for $50,000to help with plans to build a new city pool. He tells Raccoon Valley Radio why the company decided to make the donation.
“The company wants to reach out to the communities that we’re in or involved with, that our employees live, and just wants to be involved. And Greenfield is one of them. Of course, they’ve been through a lot in the past year with the tornado and everything, and we always want to be part of, you know, what we can do to help.”
Kaldenberg mentions that the plan presented by GGCF will take a few years, but that they plan to have a more modern pool with varying depths, from wading areas for children to a deep end for diving and swimming. He adds that a second check was presented on July 16th to Stuart Police Department Community Programs for $30,000, which will help them out with the many programs that they put on for the community.
