The Jefferson Rotary Club continues to give grant funds to worthy projects.
The local civic organization states that a $1,000 grant was donated to the Highway 144 Corridor Housing Initiative, which provides money to homeowners to make exterior improvements to their property in eastern Greene County. According to 144 CHI, the owners cover at least 25 percent of the cost of the projects, with the participating communities of Dana, Grand Junction, Paton and Rippey. The group also provides another category of funding to help demolish structures on properties as well.
The Jefferson Rotary Club is able to make these grants available from its annual Banquet and Charity Auction that is held in November. This year’s event is slated for November 21st at the Greene Room Events Center at Wild Rose Casino and Resort in Jefferson.
