Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Head Baseball Coach Jason Book extends his gratitude to his staff that is responsible for helping develop the players.

Book explains that the head coach position consists more of the bookwork when it comes to strategizing areas of growth with players. He had five assistant coaches alongside him this past season with George Callsen, Brett Crable, Ben Lewerke, Josh Mohr, and Austin Stallman. Book outlines that each coach works with the student-athletes on different skills, but are great working together as well. He recognizes that there is a lot of work done behind the scenes.

“It’s not just me, and really these other guys do a majority of the work with the players. All of those guys, I appreciate them very much, love the work that they do and I believe the boys respond to them very well.”

Book highlights that three of the coaches were volunteers this year, and wanted to sacrifice their time to help the players live out their dreams. He is grateful that Callsen, Crable, Lewerke, Mohr, and Stallman are not only assisting on the field, but are teaching the boys life lessons.
