The Dallas County Conservation Board is hosting another fall program next month that will allow participants to take a look at an amphibian in their natural habitat.
The Salamander Crossing event is a web watch program where the conservation department will notify residents via their website and Facebook page once the salamanders are on the move.
That night, which is the best time to see the greatest number of salamanders, they will open the Voas Nature Area building and invite everyone to join in on a walk and talk.
Participants should dress in appropriate clothing that is both warm and waterproof.
There’s no registration required for the free program and if you don’t have easy access to the internet but want to participate, call the Conservation Board at 465-3577 to set up other arrangements.
