Dallas County Hospital Chief Executive Officer Angela Mortoza is being recognized by a Midwest organization for her exemplary leadership.

DCH Director of Public Relations of Marketing and Foundation Tom Harmsen outlines that Mortoza is one of only three Iowa Hospital CEOs that was named a “Community Hospital CEO to Know” by Becker’s Healthcare. He mentions that Becker’s Healthcare is happy to honor visionary leaders for their dedication to improving community health, fostering strong workplace cultures, driving sustainable growth, and securing the long-term success of their hospitals. 

Harmsen emphasizes that Mortoza has helped DCH undergo several renovations to enhance patient care with the addition of space to the surgery, emergency, and patient registration areas. He indicates that she has helped launch the installation of a kiosk to assist with transportation, QR codes to help the visually impaired in navigation, and creating a Financial Counselor position. Harmsen concludes that DCH celebrated their 70th year anniversary and was awarded the Perry Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Year in 2024.
