Tonight marks the start of the high school volleyball coaching career for Nikki Uebel at Paton-Churdan, and the same goes for assistant coach Josh Cerveny. Uebel, a Jefferson business owner, will begin her career on the home floor in Churdan vs. non-conference opponent Collins-Maxwell. Neither team has had a lot of success recently in the win/loss column.

Uebel believes the elements exist for the Rockets to increase the win total. Many of P-C’s players have one or more years of varsity experience as the 2024 Rockets had just one senior on the team.

Tonight’s match is the first of two this week for P-C. The Rockets will travel to Storm Lake this Thursday to take on St. Mary’s in another non-conference match.
