The West Central Valley Wildcats volleyball team played host to the Des Moines Christian Lions for the season opener of the 2025 volleyball season. The Wildcats would battle, especially in the first set, but would but swept by Des Moines Christian with a final score of 3-0.

In the first set, the Wildcats would battle back and fight until the very end, but would fall to the Lions 25-23. The Wildcats would not be able to respond in the next two sets, falling 25-12 and 25-9, falling to the Des Moines Christian Lions at home.

Wildcat volleyball returns to action next week on Tuesday and looks to bounce back, traveling to Pleasantville High School to face off against the Trojans.
