St. Patrick’s Catholic School in Perry is happy to welcome a few new faculty members for the new school year.
According to Principal Kandice Pattillo, the institution brought in Kindergarten teacher Lily Sparling, a 5th-8th Grade English, Language, and Arts teacher Jen Lee, and Title I Reading and Special Education instructor Laura Guhse. Pattillo shares that kids were super excited to meet Sparling at their Back to School Night.
Pattillo explains that Lee is challenging students with developing skills in reading and writing, while Guhse is helping students with Title I Reading support. She acknowledges that Guhse can assist kids that need specialized instruction, as they used to have to be transported to Perry Elementary to receive that service. Pattillo reveals that there is yet another new addition to their school.
“We have a new priest too, Father Nick Smith is really awesome. He’s been involved, hands on, and I appreciate that actual co-leadership with everything going, I think the kids will be excited to see him going through it.”
Pattillo says she’s always grateful to be given new faculty members that contribute to the school’s core values of faith and family.
