Panorama High School recently received some recognition from the Iowa Department of Education.

Based off of Free Application for Federal Student Aid numbers from the Panorama Class of 2025, the school was recognized as a FAFSA Focused School of Achievement. Guidance Counselor Chris Webner says that this recognizes the efforts put in by the students, student parents, staff and many more to complete applications, and reach the district’s application goal. He adds that they offer a multi-step process to help with the application, including classroom lessons, FAFSA Workshops with the senior class, and one-on-one sessions with each senior.

Webner mentions that their partnership with Des Moines Area Community College Career and College Transition Specialist Steve Rude is another piece of support that has been invaluable. He adds that the guidance team and all those involved in the process of helping students apply for FAFSA were pleasantly surprised with, and honored, by the recognition of the work done to help students make well informed decisions about their future.
