The Adel City Council will meet in regular session tonight.

The council will review and look to approve a profile with Theia Management Consultants and receive feedback to publish a profile conducting a City Administrator search in response to their former administrator Anthony Brown that resigned this past June.

Other items on the agenda seeking approval include an appointment to the Adel Library Board, accepting sidewalk regulations waiver request from O’Reilly Auto Parts, a resolution to accept the preliminary plat for Ortonville Industrial Park Plat 1, as well as a change order, a final pay application, a final acceptance letter, and a resolution for the Bailey’s Grove Channel Improvements project; and a proposal from McClure Engineering for the Meadow Road functional design study.

The council will discuss several resolutions to determine the necessity and set a public hearing date for  the adoption of a proposed amended and restated Adel Urban Revitalization Plan and set a public hearing on whether to grant an access easement to Fairfax Properties, LLC across property located east of the city’s water tower on Meadow Road both on October 14th.

In addition, the council will hold first readings for two ordinances to amend provisions pertaining to liquor licenses and wine and beer permits, plus another for cigarette and tobacco permits, then have a discussion on the Northwater Preliminary Plat 3 with the Developer John Sieck.

The meeting is open to the public and is taking place tonight at Adel City Hall, 301 S. 10th Street, at 6pm. Raccoon Valley Radio will have the results of the meeting later this week.
