The AC/GC Chargers volleyball team is in action on the road tonight.

The Chargers are heading into Des Moines to take on the Des Moines Christian Lions. Head Coach Caley Vaughan, along with senior setter Becca Littler and junior outside hitter Stella Largent are looking forward to facing an opponent who historically has been very skilled. For the Chargers, Little leads in assists with 86, averaging 6.6 per set, while Largent averages 4.7 kills per set for a 27.5 percent kill rate and 5.9 points off kills per set. Senior Savannah Akers leads in blocks with eight, while junior Ilana Baumert leads in digs with 39, averaging three per set. Largent also leads in serve aces, with 57 total, an average of 0.8 aces per set, and 4.4 attempts per set.

For the Lions, Brynn Van Mersbergen leads in assists with 121, averaging 5.3, while Skyler VanDerPol averages two kills per set for a 16.8 percent kill rate and three points per set. VanDerPol also leads in blocks with 20, while Olivia Wolven leads in digs with 73, averaging 3.2 per set. Sophia Roetman leads in aces with 53 total, an average of 0.7 aces per set, and 4.1 serves per set. The match begins at 6:30pm.
