The Iowa High School Athletic Association released its first official rankings of the 2025 football season for Class A, 1A, 2A and eight man teams.

The success of the AC/GC Chargers hasn’t gone unnoticed for the Class A top 10 teams. After five straight wins, including two shut outs, one game with a 48 point difference, and two games against tough opponents the last two weeks, the Chargers have been ranked 3rd in Class A. The top eight teams including AC/GC all are sitting at 5-0 on the season. The Chargers aren’t the only division seven team in the top 10 either, with Riverside coming in as the 9th ranked team this week. AC/GC is facing the Central Decatur Cardinals this week for Homecoming, but will have their last regular season game against Riverside.
