The Perry Public Library is preparing for the holiday season with a new program happening on Saturday.
Adult Services Librarian Mindy Farmer tells Raccoon Valley Radio that their new Card Makers Card Swap program pairs with the monthly “Paper Crafting with Kathy” event, which will see participants designing fall-themed cards. Farmer shares that people will be able to build a card collection based around October’s theme of Thanksgiving or all-occassion cards.
“It will include 10 participants who will create 10 cards, and swap them so that you will have a really cool, unique collection of cards that you can build up (and) get new ideas.”
Farmer highlights that Paper Crafting with Kathy will take place on Saturday from 10:30am-12:30pm, then the card swap will immediately follow from 12:30-1pm inside the library. She adds that both programs are free, but space is limited, with the registration deadline of tomorrow. Any questions can be directed to the Perry Public Library at (515)-465-3569.
