Rolling Valley Activities Conference volleyball leader Coon Rapids-Bayard defeated Paton-Churdan in Churdan on Thursday night in three sets. Scores were 6-25, 19-25, 6-25 as the Crusaders improved to 17-2 overall and 5-0 in the league while the Rockets fell to 2-10 on the season and 0-6 in the conference.

Head coach Nikki Uebel told Raccoon Valley Radio she felt her team played great volleyball, especially in the second set and had a chance to take that set. “I was so proud of how the girls played. Chloe Happe had FIVE solo blocks and one assisted block, as well as four digs! Bella Rice, Ella Tasler, and Mia Russell each piked up two assisted blocks as well! Edynn Smith also had a great night with four kills and five digs. Alivya Smith had two aces, two kills, and four digs. Mia also had three kills and three digs.”
