
Greene County and Carroll High met in Class 3A District 6 football last night at Linduska Field in Jefferson with the Tigers winning by a score of 35-0. Former Ram assistant coach Craig Roweder’s Tigers dominated in all phases of the game as Carroll improved to 2-0 in the district and 3-3 overall while Coach Caden Duncan’s Rams fell to 4-2 overall and 1-1 in District 6.
The Tigers led 14-0 after one quarter and 28-0 at halftime. The 35 point margin continuous clock rule went into effectin the third quarter. Junior quarterback Camden King threw for two touchdowns, Adam Malik ran for two scores, and one TD by on the ground byKieran Polking. had 299 yards of total offense included 212 on the ground.
The Rams had little offense all night and never seriously threatened to score. Quarterback sacks, poor snaps from center, and a stiff Carroll defense contributed to just 65 total yards of offense for the Rams. Greene county had minus 11 rushing yards on 17 attempts. Quarterback Zach Stalder was 7-17-1 passing for 76 yards. Nearly every offensive number was a season low for Greene County. The Rams also lost a fumble for the only two turnovers of the contest. Jaron Jacobs caught three passes for 48 yards.
