On Friday, the Dallas Center-Grimes Mustangs golf team traveled to Indianola for the Little Hawkeye Conference Fall Classic and won the conference championship with a team score of 292 strokes.

Three Mustangs finished in the top five with all conference finishes, as Avery Van Zelderen placed first with a score of 70 strokes. Gavin Drake followed in second with 72 strokes with Chase Perrin in fifth with a score of 74 strokes. The entire Mustang team shot above 80 strokes, with three receiving medals on the podium.

DCG golf travels to Fort Dodge on Monday for the Class 4A district tournament. The tournament begins at 10am.
