A non-profit organization is hosting an event prior to the city and school election in November.

The Jefferson Rotary Club will be sponsoring a Jefferson City Council candidate forum this coming Monday at 7pm at the Greene County Elementary School cafeteria. There are six individuals running for three seats and those include two incumbents with Harry Ahrenholtz and Darren Jackson, along with four challengers with Sue Bose, Eric Carlson, Luke Winkelman and Paul Hostetler.

The other candidate forum that the Jefferson Rotary Club is hosting is for the Greene County School Board on the following Tuesday, October 21st at 7pm also at the elementary school cafeteria. The individuals running for three seats include one incumbent with Cindi Daubendiek, along with six newcomers: Megan Holz, Nicole Chisum, Scott Graham, Katie Nelson, Jeremiah Goughnour and Spencer Kirk.

The format for both events will include candidates introducing themselves and then answering questions from the audience. Jefferson resident Rick Morain will be the moderator. Both forums are free and open to the public.
