
A Jefferson man was arrested for alleged domestic abuse assault.
According to court documents, Jefferson Police responded to a call of the alleged assault at 6:33pm on Thursday. Court documents show that the victim told police that a verbal argument turned into a physical altercation, where the victim had injuries that were a result of an assault. The criminal complaint states that the suspect broke the victim’s cell phone as they were trying to call 911.
The affidavit states that 42-year-old Michael Wagoner was subsequently arrested and charged with a Class D Felony for his third or subsequent offense for domestic abuse assault and a simple misdemeanor for obstruction of emergency communication.
