The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn High School Marching Band continues to perform well, tallying top spots at a competition in West Des Moines this past Saturday.

Band Director Russell Braun tells Raccoon Valley Radio that ADM participated in Valleyfest with close to 30 schools out of the Midwest, in two separate segments, featuring the Daytime and Showdown portions. He says that the band grabbed third place in the Day Show with a score of 69.3 out of 100 and then fifth place with a score of 69.4 in the evening Showdown. 

Braun indicates that this is the first year that ADM was apart of the evening Showdown. He shares that ADM’s next performance will be at the Iowa High School Music Association State Contest at Waukee High School on Saturday.
