A Rippey teen was recently sentenced to prison for a Warren County incident.

According to court documents, 18-year-old Kendall Griffin pled guilty to a lesser charge of a Class D Felony for willful injury causing bodily injury and a serious misdemeanor for assault causing mental illness in Warren County District Court. He was sentenced to five years in prison for the felony charge and one year in prison for the misdemeanor, which are to to be served concurrently for a total of five years.

The charges stem from a September 15th incident in Milo in Warren County. Court documents show that Griffin and another 18-year-old Camden Strennan of Jefferson assaulted a victim which resulted in a concussion, multiple facial fractures, severe blood loss and an MCL tear in the victim’s left knee. Strennan was also sentenced to prison for a total of five years for his charges that he pled guilty to.

Court documents detail that Griffin was also ordered to pay over $2,000 in fines, surcharges, court costs and court-appointed attorney fees. As per the plea agreement, Griffin was originally charged with a Class C Felony for willful injury-causing serious injury, but he pled guilty to the lesser charge of a Class D Felony.
