The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn School Board met in regular session on Monday.

Business Manager Josh Jacobs shared that the board approved a resolution to authorize the issuance and securing a payment of $19 million in School Infrastructure Sales, Services, and Use Tax Revenue Bonds for the current school year and then accepted an agreement with UMB Bank, of Kansas City, Missouri, to act as the paying agent, bond registrar, and transfer agent, starting on October 28th. Jacobs adds that a tax exemption certificate and continuing disclosure certificate were also approved relating to the $19 million in School Infrastructure Sales.

Jacobs reveals that other items on the agenda that were approved included a School Budget Review Committee request for modified supplemental aids for special education balance in the amount of $712,719.58 and another one for English Learners allowable costs for $800, along with a transportation technology contract with Tyler Technologies,  2026 Iowa Association of School Boards legislative priorities, an agreement with Innovative Behavioral Therapy Services, and hiring Dykstra Concrete LLC to help repair the sidewalks at DeSoto Intermediate and Adel Elementary for a total amount of $47,025.
