The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Football regular season is coming to a close, as Head Coach Doug Winkowitsch is enjoying the offensive prowess that’s being produced on the field.
Winkowitsch is in his second year of coaching the Tigers, as last year, completed the 2024 season with a record of 8-3, but has a 7-1 record this year with one more regular season game remaining. Through the eight games, ADM has accumulated 331 total points, including six matches of scoring over 40 points.
Coming into the season, Winkowitsch has preached on starting the game on a fast note, which the Tigers have been able to strike quickly, leading to early momentum.
“Just our kids are playing with a lot of confidence and they’re very sure of the schemes. Our offensive line is just doing a great job making decisions. Our kids up front are making line calls and making the decision on where that ball is going to travel. So, it’s kind of in their hands on Friday nights, and that’s the key. They say that the best play in football is the one where all 11 guys know what to do, and I think we’re there.”
ADM senior Quarterback Hudson Shull has 1,196 yards passing with 12 touchdowns, then added another 1,021 rushing yards with 15 TDs. The Tigers will conclude the regular season in Adel on Friday, as Denison-Schleswig will make a trip to Tiger Stadium with kickoff at 7pm. Raccoon Valley Radio will carry the broadcast on K107.9 KKRF.
