The Guthrie County Board of Supervisors met in regular session Tuesday morning.

The Board approved the second reading of a resolution considering emergency medical services as an essential service, reappointing Tim Masters as the Weed Commissioner, along with the 2025 weed commissioner’s report. They also approved changing the starting effective date for health insurance for County employees to be after 30 days, allowing the employees the opportunity to collect a full paycheck to help cover insurance premiums, instead of the first checks having heavy deductions.

The Board then approved the County artificial intelligence policy after hearing from Information Technology Director Brian Hoffman, who shared that AI is everywhere, and is actually being used productively, and that the policy helps keep AI usage to its useful nature.
