Perry football will end the season tonight at Dewey Field against Creston. The Bluejays will celebrate Senior Night in the 3A District 6 finale. KDLS and the Raccoon Valley Radio Sports Network will have the coverage at 6 p.m. with the Perry Hy-Vee Pregame Show.
The Panthers just collected their first win of the season last Friday 42-35 over Greene County. Creston enters 1-7 while Perry is 0-8. The Bluejays fell to Carroll 63-7 at Dewey Field last time out. Both clubs have been eliminated from playoff contention.
Head coach Josh Vannornam recalls last year’s 72-13 loss to Creston and it’s been motivation this week at practice.
“Can’t control those things but yeah it definitely fuels up the boys a little bit for sure. Creston has put some points on the board they’ve won one game this year so should be a fun competitive night and boys should be just fired up.”
Owen Zander is set to return to the starting lineup. The leading receiver and one of the top tacklers. Nadir Ouahbi remains a game time decision after getting hurt in the first half against Carroll.
Senior Night this evening at Dewey Field and KDLS will have the action at 6 p.m. with the Perry Hy-Vee Pregame Show.
