Following an alleged incident that happened in Grand Junction on Tuesday, a Sheldahl man was also arrested from two other warrants from Greene County.

According to court documents, there were two arrest warrants for 29-year-old Brian Weltzin of Sheldahl, who was charged with serious misdemeanor for his first offense for an OWI and a simple misdemeanor for driving with a suspended license for an alleged incident in May and in August he was charged with a Class D Felony for second degree criminal mischief and a serious misdemeanor for assault causing bodily injury or mental illness for allegedly causing injuries to a victim and damaging their vehicle, both in Grand Junction.

Court documents show that Weltzin was eventually arrested on those warrants when a Greene County Sheriff’s Deputy responded to Grand Junction at 5:24am on Tuesday by a witness who said he was screaming and had a gun. The criminal complaint states that Weltzin had left the residence when law enforcement arrived, but he was eventually found in another residence and was arrested. The .22 caliber rifle was unloaded and he was noticeably intoxicated. He had a blood alcohol concentration of .146.

Weltzin was charged from that incident with a serious misdemeanor for possession or carrying a dangerous weapon while intoxicated and simple misdemeanors for disorderly conduct and public intoxication. He was booked and remains in the Greene County Jail under a $7,000 bond. Raccoon Valley Radio will bring you more information as it becomes official.
