The Perry Public Library is holding an event tomorrow to allow residents to discard old documents.

According to Adult Services Librarian Mindy Farmer, the library is hosting its annual Fall Shred Event. She details that the premise is for people to dispose of any outdated personal documents safely and securely. Farmer outlines that a shredder truck will be located in the south parking lot of the library, which will be vehicle-accessible from Railroad Street.

Farmer shares that acceptable items include documentation that displays personally identifiable information, papers protected by privacy laws, confidential corporate information, and any financial information. She adds that this is a free service that is happening from 9am-noon tomorrow. For more information, contact the Perry Public Library at (515)-465-3569.
