The Panorama Panthers cross country teams traveled to the Jewell Golf & Country Club on Thursday for the Class 1A state qualifying meet. Both Panther teams put up a fight, but were not able to qualify for the state tournament and keep their season alive.
For the Panther girls, Panorama finished in fourth place with a team score of 101 points. Freshman Olivia Beaudet had a specaular showing, finishing in 13th place crossing the finish line in 22:11.5 seconds. For the boys, the Panthers finished in 10th place as a team with a score of 228 points. Panorama was by Bladyn Wearmouth, who crossed the finish line in 19:37.2 seconds.
Although Panorama cross country comes to an end this season, there is plenty to celebrate, as Beaudet continued to improve with multiple course and season best times, while the Panther boys come together for the first Panther boys cross country team in years.
