The Adel-DeSoto-Minburn Cross Country Girls and Boys Teams prepare for the Class 3A state meet tomorrow in Fort Dodge.

Both Tigers squads finished second during the state qualifying meet in Pella on October 22nd. The girls scored 92 points behind Pella, and the boys tallied 91 points, who also trailed the Dutch. Tiger sophomore Elliotte Von Roden marked 14th overall with a time of 20 minutes and 8 seconds, while the top guy was senior Ty Landphair, who was 7th overall notching a 17:15. Senior Alaina Nelson shares that it’s vital to have supportive teammates.

“It helps you get through the hard practices, the hard meets, and without having that positive mindset, there’s no reason to do this sport. You just want to have that mindset and being around other people who are like that too just helps you go even further and accomplish your goals.”

The race is taking place at the Lakeside Municipal Golf Course in Fort Dodge tomorrow, with the girls starting at 2pm, followed by the boys at 2:45pm.
