7:29am: A deputy investigated an animal neglect complaint in the 500 block of East Main Street, Grand Junction.
10:19am: A deputy conducted a welfare check on 330th Street near P Avenue.
1:00pm: Raymond Craig 38 of Coralville was booked into the jail for theft 2nd degree and driving while barred.
4:36pm: A deputy investigated a driving complaint on 240th Street near F Avenue.
7:50pm: A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 500 block of South Wise Street, Paton.
Wednesday, October 29th
4:01pm: The Sheriff and deputies conducted a search warrant at 604 Hill Street, Churdan. Two dogs were seized. Charges for animal neglect are pending.
4:27pm: A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 400 block of Harding Street, Churdan.
4:28pm: The Greene County Sheriff’s Office, Carroll County Sheriff’s Office, Guthrie County Sheriff’s Office, Iowa State Patrol, Carroll Ambulance, Coon Rapids Fire, Churdan Rescue, and Greene County Ambulance responded to a two-vehicle head on accident on A Avenue near 320th Street. There were 7 with suspected injuries, one was transported by Life Flight with serious injuries, the others were transported by the other ambulances to the St Anthony’s Hospital with serious to minor injuries. The Iowa State Patrol is investigating the accident.
6:39pm: A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 900 block of P Avenue.
8:29pm: A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 600 block of East Main Street, Grand Junction.
Thursday, October 30th
2:15pm: A deputy investigated a theft in the 1000 block of H Avenue.
4:08pm: A deputy assisted a motorist who picked up a dog near Eaton Avenue and 220th Street.
7:16pm: A deputy conducted a welfare check on R Avenue near 100th Street.
Friday, October 31st
10:00am: A deputy arrested Melissa Dopheide in the 100 block of North Chestnut Street, Jefferson. Dopheide was arrested for a warrant for child endangerment.
10:47am: Melissa Dopheide 44 of Scranton was booked into the jail for child endangerment.
12:04pm: A deputy investigated a civil issue in the 400 block of 2nd Street, Rippey.
4:46pm: A deputy investigated an abandoned 911 call on 220th Street near W Avenue.
5:13pm: A deputy and Churdan Fire responded to an oil spill on 140th Street near N Avenue.
7:18pm: A deputy investigated a car deer accident on 237th Street near Kirkwood Avenue. Leland Brown of Jefferson struck a deer with a 2018 Chevrolet Silverado causing an estimated 2.500 dollars in damage.
7:35pm: A deputy investigated a suspicious person in the 600 block of Harding Street, Churdan.
7:39pm: A deputy assisted a motorist on 220th Street near J Avenue.
8:03pm: A deputy investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 400 block of East Paton Street, Paton.
8:34pm: A deputy investigated a suspicious vehicle in the 700 block of North Street, Churdan.
8:51pm: a deputy assisted a motorist on N Avenue near 140th Street.
Saturday, November 1st
12:12am: A deputy assisted with a medical call in the 400 block of North 16th Street, Grand Junction.
12:52am: Jon Strabley 26 of Grand Junction was booked into the jail for OWI 1st offense and consuming alcohol in a public place.
1:16am: A deputy investigated a driving complaint on 130th Street near Y Avenue.
6:45am: A deputy assisted with a semi that stalled on U Avenue and 100th Street.
7:57am: A deputy investigated a trespassing complaint in the 800 block of Percival Street, Grand Junction.
5:48pm: A deputy assisted a motorist on 170th Street and S Avenue.
Sunday, November 2nd
11:18am: A deputy removed debris from the roadway in the 600 block of Main Street, Grand Junction.
1:53pm: A deputy investigated a harassment complaint in the 500 block of South Wise Street, Paton.
5:30pm: Jared Ransom 45 of Denison was booked into the jail for OWI 1st offense and child endangerment.
6:17pm: The Sheriff and a deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department and Greene County Ambulance with a medical call in the 900 block of West Washington Street, Jefferson.
9:20pm: A deputy assisted the Jefferson Police Department with a domestic in the 600 block of North Oak Street, Jefferson.
10:37pm: Terry Groesbeck 45 of Eagle Grove was booked into the jail for OWI 1st offense, possession of a controlled substance, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
11:48pm: Ryan Oclair 28 of Jefferson was booked into the jail for domestic abuse assault causing bodily injury and harassment 1st degree.
In all cases when a defendant has been charged, this is merely an accusation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
