
The Panora City Council will meet in regular session tonight.
The Council will begin the meeting by hearing from House Representative for District 47 Carter Nordman during the public hearing segment, then consider for approval health insurance premium renewal for city employees, and a lease agreement with Lee White for use of his skid loader during winter. They will also consider for approval a local match for the hazard mitigation assistance program in the amount of $68,077.89, and set a public hearing to adopt a new code of ordinances.
The Council will then consider for approval the first reading of Ordinance 358 for adopting the 2025 city code of ordinances, along with another resolution approving a local match for the hazard mitigation program, this time in the amount of $102,659.02. The final item on the agenda will be a discussion and possible action regarding written consent from the Council to discharge a firearm within city limits on an AG zoned property for the purpose of hunting Canada geese.
