
The majority of the Raccoon Valley Radio listening area is not dealing with drought, except for portions of two counties.
The U.S. Drought Monitor shows that the very northwestern part of Greene County and the southeastern part of Dallas County is witnessing abnormally dry conditions. According to the National Weather Service, Jefferson has seen 0.54 inches of rain so far in November, while Perry is at 0.56 inches, and Guthrie Center is at 0.27 inches of precipitation.
The National Weather Service reports that all three counties are behind their monthly averages as of November 13th.
